When reading an eBook, I discovered that it’s a good idea to turn off the part of one’s brain that checks spelling! I spent several minutes looking up the word “cannitalism”, as it was a word I didn’t know. Dictionaries and Internet websites didn’t know the word either. Upon looking at the paper version of this book (see next picture in my photo stream), I discovered that it was supposed to be “cannibalism”.
Much to my disappointment, I now don’t have a strange new term to casually toss into conversation (ha ha). Or, I’ll use it and send others on a wild goose chase searching for a non-existent word when I want to get out of that boring cocktail party small-talk. Hmm … the possibilities …
(Yes, I know it appears I have strange reading tastes, but trust me, this book is really interesting if you can stomach it! It's titled "Stiff: The Extraordinary Lives of Human Cadavers" and is one of my favourite books. I highly recommend reading this book - on an empty stomach, of course.)
